Be it a wiring in the brain, or the number of times my mom fell when she was pregnant, my perception of the world is innately different. For me, everything in my environment is an opportunity. Some small, others huge.

I'm the kind of guy that recounts trips to the grocery store like scenes from Lord of the Rings. Why? Because everything should be that exciting. The world can be a dry and ruthless place. My childhood will attest to that. But perhaps that’s what attracts me most to this industry. It creates a place of safety and comfort not just for the audience, but its creators.

I attended UCLA and pursued a career in entertainment, which even in most liberal immigrant families is at best a glorified hobby. As an extension of my writing, I began performing stand-up comedy and was lucky enough to win the first season of Last Teen Comic Standing. I soon penned my own short films, won some awards and was soon writing and producing campaigns for bebe, Chevrolet, Mountain Dew, The World Hunger Project, The UN World Food Programme, UCLA and Grammy-Winning musicians.

December of 2012, named me among DesiClub’s Top 50 Coolest Indians in the world and it was an honor to share the list with one of many heroes including Mindy Kaling.
