(1) Founder and CEO of Bea Skincare and Cosmetics

Liz Bardelas founded Bea in 2013 to develop a skincare and beauty line based on natural ingredients and edible extracts. Based on her medical education and experience, Liz wanted a true health and beauty line that used evidence-based science to develop vitamin-packed products from superfoods, such as kiwi, avocado, coffee, and papaya. Dr. Chris Salgado, a noted plastic surgeon, and Professor of Surgery in Miami provides the science. Dr. Salgado reviews every Bea product to ensure clinical support exists for the health and beauty effects of the natural ingredients. Heath Bryant-Huppert provides the make-up and beauty review. A multiple-award winning make-up artist, Heath ensures every Bea product meets the equally demanding requirements of quality cosmetics. The result, a unique combination of medical support for a non-prescription health and beauty product, makes Bea uniquely suitable for sale in a dermatologist office or at a high-end cosmetic counter. It also has written Bea a remarkable three-year success story. Fashion magazines, including Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Elle, and GQ have highlighted Bea products. Vogue included Sassy Lips Syrup and Fruit Juice Sassy as products for 2016. Bea products have been given as gifts at the Emmy, American Music Awards and the Oscars.

Bea’s growing market presence coupled with its unique niche between the medical and cosmetic communities makes Bea ideal to market and distribute foreign manufactured health and beauty products in the United States. Bea is actively looking for opportunities to import products of like-minded foreign companies under the Bea brand. Bea brings the following critical skills to any relationship:

• Access to Bea’s U.S. distribution network
Bea relies on a strong e-commerce presence as well as product sales through cosmetic outlets and physician offices. Bea currently is negotiating with large retailers for product placement. Foreign products under the Bea brand will have the same outlets.
• U.S. warehousing
Bea can provide space for product storage in existing or new warehouse space in the U.S. Use of Bea’s warehouse space will reduce storage costs and provide immediate product availability to the demanding U.S. consumer.

• Advice on U.S. markets and products
Bea is well integrated into the U.S. cosmetic and health product marketplace and understands the U.S. consumer in those markets. Bea can use this knowledge to advise partners on products most likely to sell in the U.S.
• Product Market Support
Bea can integrate the product on the Bea website, register the company as a brand on Amazon.com, and offer the product through e-commerce providers. And Bea can offer all of this as part of the established Bea product line.
• English-language Concept and Content
Bea can provide advice on advertising concepts and content to assist in product placement in fashion magazines, such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and GQ, and medical journals, such as plastic surgery and dermatology. Bea can do the same for the video advertising needed to create a product’s online presence, including on You-Tube, and to establish a presence on social media.
• Event Access
As part of the Bea line, Bea can provide access to celebrity events and to trade shows and medical conferences, bringing the product closer to potential celebrity and medical endorsements.
Cosmetic Products
• Import Requirements
Bea can engage a customs broker who will file the appropriate paperwork required for cosmetics imports.
• Product Registration
Registration is voluntary for purely cosmetic products, but registration has significant advantages. Bea can provide analysis and recommendations on whether or not to register a product in the U.S., and if registration provides a benefit, register the product.
• U.S. Food and Drug Administration Review
It is easy to run afoul of FDA regulations with regard to product ingredients and labeling. Bea can avoid this problem by reviewing ingredients before product importation to ensure all ingredients are listed as “generally recognized as safe and effective.” Bea also will ensure all product labels comply with stringent U.S. cosmetic labeling rules.
• Advertising Review
The U.S. heavily regulates advertising claims to ensure that healthcare products do not make regulated medical claims. Bea will review all advertisements to avoid regulated medical claims
Mixed Cosmetic and Drug
• FDA Registration
Some products may benefit from classification as mixed products. Such products require FDA registration and clearance of ingredients. Bea will oversee registration and clearance as required to meet FDA regulations.
• Product Label and Advertising Review
Regulations provide advertising advantages for mixed products, but claims remain heavily regulated. Bea will review labels and advertisements for regulatory compliance.
An almost unlimited potential exists to import quality health and beauty products into the U.S. market under the Bea brand. If you wish to discuss a potential venture with BEA or if you simply want more information about BEA and its products contact us.

(3) Founder and COO of California Varicose Vein and Vascular

Varicose veins seem to be a much picking up issue in the lives of a number of Americans. With offices in Northern, Central and Southern California, we at California Varicose Vein and Vascular make it most convenient for people across the state of California to visit if required. When it comes to varicose veins most of us are under the impression that it is probably a cosmetic condition when actually is a symptom of venous insufficiency. This damages the valves of the saphenous vein and if not treated well in time by a vascular specialist it could, cosmetically disfigure the leg. Spider vein is caused by dysfunctional vein valves and appear red or blue in color. However these do not bulge above the skin like varicose veins. So whether it is an arterial disorder like aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, critical limb ischemia, thrombosed arteries, peripheral artery disease, renal stenosis, or limb salvage, like stenting, bypass grafting or the current evidence-based treatments for non-healing leg wounds, we at California Varicose Vein and Vascular will take care of it with utmost pride and expertise. Even if your need to visit is for a Dialysis Access which may include an arteriovenous fistula and graft, monitoring of fistula maturity, fistulagram, venogram, or balloon plasty, we have setup the most patient friendly facility for you. California Varicose Vein and Vascular offers the most courteous, helpful, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff that is always there to take care of all vascular related issues at all times, both before and after the surgery. California Varicose Veins and Vascular has been rated as one of the best facility for treatment and has seen many happy and satisfied customers.
