I am the CEO and Executive Director of the Investigative News Network (INN), a growing consortium of 100+ nonprofit newsrooms producing non-partisan investigative and public interest journalism.

Davis oversees INN’s efforts to promote sustainability at its member organizations, while increasing the impact of their reporting through collaboration.

As a former digital publisher, Davis has more than 16 years of experience in strategic development and growth at news and media organizations.

Since his appointment to INN, Davis has spoken and lectured about the nonprofit investigative journalism sector and entrepreneurial journalism at the Online News Association, at multiple Investigative Reporters & Editors conferences, the Stockholm School of Economics, Riga, the Global Investigative Journalism Network conference in Rio, USC Annenberg, Syracuse University, Ohio Statue University and the University of Colorado, Boulder where he was the 2011 Hearst Professional in Residence.

In 2011, Davis testified at the FCC Field Event “The Information Needs of Communities” in 2011 about the status of nonprofit journalism applicants for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status with the IRS. which was hosted by Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
