In the year 2000 Gene Massey founded CinemaShares.com and has since served as Chairman/CEO. The company has now received a U.S. Patent for its innovative business method of financing major Hollywood movies through the sale of stock to movie fans on the Internet.

Gene Massey is the now CEO of MediaShares and its subsidiary, QwikShares, companies offering innovative CrowdFinance & Crowdfunding solutions for marketing and transacting online stock sales. MediaShares licenses its U.S. Patented methodology, system, and software to FINRA Brokers and their companies for CrowdFinancing Direct Public Offerings.

MediaShares' methodology helps companies with online fans, customers, and affinity groups raise capital by selling their shares directly to their massive online communities. Using our system and software in a typical (SEC registered) public stock offering, both the stock issuer and its FINRA broker have direct contact with their massive online community of shareholders.

Prior to founding MediaShares & CinemaShares.com, Gene was best known as a television Director, specializing in dialogue-celebrity/spokesperson commercials. Still active as a film director, his most recent work includes numerous short films and humanitarian documentaries. He has traveled extensively throughout the world, and since July of 2003, Gene has filmed volunteers in medical camps, informal settlements, hospitals, schools, and AIDS orphanages in 26 countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, and in rural villages in India (current ten-year Visa).

In Hollywood, Gene has directed and photographed such celebrities as country music star Dwight Yoakam, Jane Krakowski, Jean Stapleton, Smokey Robinson, Alice Cooper, Tommy Smothers, Kenny G, Jane Wyatt, Jimmy Walker, Arthur Hill, Eva Marie Saint, Vincent Price, and Henry Mancini. He has also directed such well-known sports personalities as Johnny Miller, Sugar Ray Leonard, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Annika Sorenstam, Colin Montgomerie, Greg Louganis, Paul Azinger, Patty Sheehan, and Kenny Roberts.

As a screenwriter, Gene is best known for his original screenplay for the upcoming family feature film “Fungi - A Comedy about Pollution.” This screenplay has now won four awards: the Award of Excellence from the Film Advisory Board, Best Comedy Screenplay from both the Houston Film Festival and the Charleston Film Festival, and Best Screenplay Finalist from the Arizona Film Society.

As a television commercial Director/Cameraman, from 1990 to 1997 Gene worked with Ely Callaway, producing, directing, and editing over four hundred television commercials for Callaway Golf, introducing and selling the Big Bertha" line of golf clubs. He often wrote or co-wrote many of these commercials
