I was born in Los Angeles (Boyle Heights). Raised in East San Fernando Valley - Sun Valley CA. My parents are Nicaraguan immigrants - a seamstress and sheet metal worker. I am youngest of four children. I was born in a neighborhood surrounded by gang and drug activity. I was blessed to remain for the most part away from these influences and achieved academic honors until my senior year when I switched schools.

I took a detour and associated with gang members and bad influences. I ditched school and my grades dropped . I went back to the core life principles my father had instilled in me - you are a product of your mind not your environment. That those you surround yourself with determine the person you are and will become.

At the end of senior year, I decided I did not want to continue this path and enrolled in a junior college and excelled. I transferred to CA State University Northridge and graduated with honors in Accounting and worked for a top tier accounting firm (Deloitte) earning my CPA. I then went on to apply for a MBA and was accepted to all top tier business schools that applied to, including Stanford, which I subsequently enrolled and earned my MBA.

My professional career, has spanned working in management/executive positions in finance and general management. I was fortunate to have been mentored and developed by exceptional caring and competent leaders.

I have worked for companies such as Walt Disney, Pepsico/Pizza Hut, Time Warner, Panda Express and Porto's Bakery. Most recently, I have embarked on starting a management consulting firm focused on the restaurant/food service industry.
