The Youth Business Alliance
formed in 2012 and provides a year-long, four-part course to high school youth. In the YBA program, students learn soft skills, workforce readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship skills to prepare them for their career trajectories. In addition, students hear from volunteer guest speakers who share their life stories and professional careers, and take field trips for behind-the-scenes visits to local businesses.

YBA Student Leader, Peyton MeeksYBA was one of the programs that helped me open my eyes to see that I am somebody who can do whatever I put my mind to. They are helping me get closer to my dream of going to college and becoming a nurse practitioner. I believe YBA even gave me motivation to keep following my dreams.

Isis Soriano, 10th Grade | YBA Students, Alliance Neuwirth Academy High SchoolMy favorite topic was budgeting. It really made an impact to me when I think about my future and how to save money. The most challenging topic was the networking because I am very shy but I am also very thankful for YBA because it has helped me get out of my shell.
