Yohan Ruparatne is a 20-year veteran in the Information Technology sector -- a career that began as an enlisted member of the United States Air Force. Yohan has established a proven track record for being a decisive and strategic leader with experience in delivering innovative technology solutions with a tenacious focus on organizational needs. He possesses a broad base of experience including work with government agencies, public agencies, privately held companies, non-profits and social justice organizations alike. His diverse experience includes working with organizations with less than 10 staff, to organizations with 500+ staff; managing technology, projects, operations, staff and strategic planning and execution.
Yohan is the founder and President of Logic Technology Consulting Group (Logic), a young, energetic and thriving, full service IT consulting firm. The firm focuses its efforts on being the trusted technology advisor to small and medium organizations. In most cases, Logic serves as an outsourced IT management and support firm. Organically, the firm has carved out a niche serving many non-profits in the greater Los Angeles area, along with an array of large public agencies, such as; Los Angeles Community College District, San Diego Gas and Electric, NASA Ames Research Facility, Long Beach Unified School District, San Diego Unified School District, Beverly Hills Unified School District to name a few.
Prior to starting Logic, Yohan served as the Director of IT for the Los Angeles Community College District’s $9.5 billion construction program. In this role, he managed an IT team supporting more than 250 end users, more than 50 servers at 10 geographically separated sites while managing IT projects in excess of $120 million. Additionally, he successfully delivered more than $2.3 million in IT cost savings through the next three years of the construction program, by leveraging shared services, reducing fixed expenses, and lowering maintenance costs.
In addition to his professional life, he is the husband to a Torrance Unified School District teacher and proud father to two amazing kids; Olivia (8), Andrew (6). Yohan is actively engaged in his community as a City Council appointed Commissioner for the City of Lomita, Board Member of the Walteria Academic Alliance, Board member of the South Bay YMCA, Advisory Board Member to Los Angeles Mission College – Computer Science and Information Technology Program and a Youth Basketball coach for the City of Torrance.
