Frank Aguirre is currently full time faculty at East Los Angeles College (ELAC) with a focus on Business and Entrepreneurship courses. Prior to joining ELAC in the Fall of 2017 he was a Business Development Manager for the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development with a focus on the Small Business and entrepreneurship segments. He joined MOED in October of 2013. He has a B.S. in Business from the University of Southern California. Following his undergraduate studies, he joined Baja Fresh to help manage and open restaurants on the east coast. That experience inspired him to own and operate his own restaurant for five years. After his restaurant closed in 2009, he decided to use this knowledge to help others start and grow their businesses. Prior to joining the Mayor’s Office he worked advising small business owners at CHARO Community Development Corp., and then at the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. He holds an M.B.A from Woodbury University, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Claremont Graduate School of Education.
