Professional Experience
• Founder/Chair of Arodhum International 2009 - present
o Founded the nonprofit to bring enriching and learning opportunities: educational, vocational, and health and hygiene programs to rural communities in India. Arodhum’s work happens in Karnataka, India.
o Established the nonprofit trust including registration and compliance with the government of India. Created the India board and now continue to govern Arodhum trust in India.
o Registered the nonprofit in US and is responsible for overall governance of Arodhum International in the US.
o Responsible for conceptualizing and creating programs for Arodhum.

• Assistant Director of Data Management at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Washington, D.C. 2002 – 2004
o Managed comprehensive data (psychiatric and neuropsychological) for 7 participating Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Centers (DVBIC) that were operational in army, naval, and air force bases.
o Critically evaluated research protocols on selection of suitable neuropsychological and psychological questionnaires for brain injury and associated psychiatric conditions. Designed quality assurance procedures, policies, and strategies for the brain injury research protocols.

• Clinical Research Supervisor, School of Social Work of the University of Maryland at Baltimore, Baltimore, MD 2000 - 2002
o Managed two large child welfare demonstration evaluation projects. Responsible for overall validity and compliance of data to ensure quality assurance.
o Established and maintained databases and created technical reports of early physical, emotional, and cognitive assessment of participating children in the demonstration projects.
o Created computer assisted interviews and data searches and exchanges for inter and intranet environments.

• Neuropsychology Fellowship at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. 1996 - 1998
o Conducted neuropsychological evaluations of patients referred from Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, Medicine, Neurology, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Prepared comprehensive clinical reports with treatment recommendations to referral teams.
o Coordinated research activities for ongoing projects specifically recruiting and selecting patients and conducting neuropsychological evaluations.

• Internship in Neuropsychology at the Department of Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry. West Virginia University School of Medicine, Morgantown, WV. 1995 – 1996

o Board Member. SAN is an advocacy group for South Asians living in and around Los Angeles, addressing South Asians citizenship and voter rights, health needs, and counseling services to improve their livelihoods.
• Hindu Center of Virginia, VA. 2006 – 2010
o Board Member and Outreach Coordinator. Also conducted Hindu Dharma classes for elementary school kids; coordinated with local elementary school so kids could visit Hindu temple; coordinated donations to local food bank.
• Siva Vishnu Temple of Lanham, MD. 1997 – 2003
o Managed the community kitchen with a revenue of 15 -18 K that operated every weekend and during special events/festivals.
