Motz is helping lead a supply chain transformation at Kaiser Permanente to improve operational efficiency and service quality for our members. His role oversees, in partnership, supply chain operations at all California and Washington based hospitals currently. The joint leadership reporting structure aligns with med center AFOs and COOs. Additional National functional areas under his leadership include: Item Master, Demand Planning, Logistics and SOX compliance. Motz is a supply chain executive with over 20 years of progressive experience with engineering, operations and global supply chains. He has held leadership roles with Fortune 500 companies such as Xerox, Univar, and Nestlé covering CPG/Distribution, Engineered Products and Defense logistics. He led supply chain transformations within large and mid-sized firms and enables systems and process integration opportunities through decision support excellence and team development. Motz has a BSME from UCLA, an MBA from Cornell and is Lean Six Sigma certified. He is on the Board of the USC Center for Global Supply Chain Management and regularly sponsors 4-5 student teams at KP. Motz holds three patents and numerous technology and supply chain publications, and is passionate about continuous improvement and people development.

Motz is an immigrant to the US and first arrived in NYC at the age of 7. He spoke only 2 words of English at the time and quickly learned to adapt and engage the concrete jungle. Raised in the performing arts world, Motz had a culturally and socio economically diverse upbringing.
