Francisca Castillo is the Director of Gender Equity Affairs with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. She has been with the Department for sixteen years. Francisca’s primary responsibility is to ensure that LA City Recreation and Parks adheres to the department’s policies and practices on Gender Equity. Francisca is either directly or indirectly responsible for all of the Department special events, programs, staff and training’s related to girls physical activities and sport leagues. One program she is directly responsible for is the Girls Play Los Angeles (GPLA) program which is located at 99 recreation centers.
