Calling the world “home” while venturing to over 80 countries, I am inspired by the potential for learning and personal development to propel international exchange and cross-cultural understanding around the world. After graduating from the College of William & Mary with a degree in Process Management and Consulting, I boarded a plane to Japan where I spent five years teaching English, leading international relations projects, and organizing events for my local international community as a Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program participant. In 2015, I graduated with an MSc in International Event Management from the University of Brighton. More recently, I served as the Academic Coordinator at CIMBA Italy Study Abroad Programs, near Venice, and earned my MBA in summer 2016 before heading to Brazil to volunteer at the Rio 2016 Olympics. You can catch me blogging at Amelia Miles Away, providing volunteer management solutions, and encouraging others to stretch their comfort zones.
