Hi! My name is Albert Jefferson (However, I go by my middle name Joey) and I am currently a Missions Operations Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. I am currently on the flight control team for the Spitzer Space Telescope, an observatory similar to the famous Hubble Telescope, except it uses Infrared light. My job includes commanding the spacecraft, and making sure the overall state of the spacecraft is healthy.

I grew up in Rialto Ca, and received my B.S. in Mathematics from Cal Poly Pomona and will receive my M.S. in Mathematics in June. I am also an award winning classical pianist and musician, and other hobbies include golf and flying. I love speaking to kids of any age about space; especially students who are under privileged or under represented.
