Andrew T. Kirsh is a founding partner of Sklar Kirsh LLP and is the Chair of the firm’s Real Estate practice. Andrew is an experienced commercial real estate transactional attorney, whose clientele includes a broad spectrum of national, regional and local investors, funds, developers, operators, syndicators, private equity providers and lenders. Andrew’s practice involves all aspects of the real estate industry, including, acquisitions, dispositions, equity investments, syndications, fund formation, development, leasing, financing, note purchases and foreclosures.

Andrew began his career as a real estate attorney in the Los Angeles office of the global firm, Latham & Watkins, where he practiced from 2000-2006. He then assisted with the opening of the Century City office of another international firm, Goodwin Procter, where he practiced from 2006-2009. Most recently, Andrew was a partner of the Beverly Hills firm, Raines Feldman until 2013, when he opened Sklar Kirsh LLP with co-founding partner, Jeff Sklar.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Andrew graduated locally at Beverly Hills High School before attending Northwestern University where he was a four-year varsity baseball player, earning Academic All Big Ten Honors in each of his four years. After graduating college in 1997, Andrew stayed in Chicago, where he attended Northwestern University School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2000.

Andrew has been recognized by Real Estate Forum in 2011 and 2012 as “Top 40 Under 40″ in the real estate industry nationally, and as a “Southern California Super Lawyer Rising Star” by Law & Politics and Los Angeles magazine (2007-2012). Andrew is a frequent speaker at real estate industry conferences. Andrew most recently spoke on panels at the IMN Real Estate Conference in Newport Beach 2014, The Pepperdine Estate Planning Network (PEPNET) 2014, Bisnow’s Silicon Beach: The Rise of Playa Vista and Bisnow’s 4th Annual Revolution of Downtown Los Angeles 2014, and Opus Connect 2014. He has also spoken on panels at the Real Share National Conference 2010-2012, Apartments National Conference 2010-2012 and Crittenden National Real Estate Conference in 2012.

Andrew is active in the Los Angeles community and serves as a member of the Jewish Federation’s Real Estate Cabinet, the Milken Institute Young Leadership Circle and American Jewish University Moriah Society.

Andrew was honored to represent the United States as a player on the United States Fast Pitch Softball Team in the 2009 Maccabiah Games in Israel, the World’s third largest sporting event, which occurs every four years, and has been selected to represent the United States in the 2013 Maccabiah Games.

Andrew is married to his wife Courtney, and they live in Santa Monica, CA.
