Guest Speakers are the heart of YBA. We invite professionals into the classroom, in person or virtually, to share their career journey and industry expertise.

Resume Reviewer
Support students as they prepare for future opportunities by reviewing resumes and providing thoughtful, encouraging feedback to help them build confidence and professionalism.

Mock Interviewer
As a mock interviewer, you will support students by conducting practice interviews and providing encouraging, constructive feedback to prepare them for their futures.

Financial Literacy Educator
YBA partners with local banks to teach high school students financial literacy concepts, including credit, savings, and investing. We ensure all volunteer hours are CRA-approved.

Work-Place Learning Mentor
You will host virtual Zoom sessions to help students learn about your industry. Practicing work-based skills helps students gain real-world career exposure and confidence in preparation for entering the workforce.

What is the time committment?
Each of our volunteer events has a different time commitment. On average, events are about two hours, but we understand that as professionals, your schedules are busy. Any time you spend with our students is greatly appreciated.
